In the app (fastest)
- Open NextPass and go to Settings > Account > Delete account.
- Confirm with your password, or with the code we email you if you sign in with Apple or Google.
Your account is deleted straight away, and you are signed out on every phone.
Without the app
Email support@nextpass.my with the subject "Delete my account". Send it from the email address on the account, because that is how we know the account is yours.
If you can no longer use that address, write from another one and tell us roughly when you signed up. We may ask you a few questions to check it is you. We delete the account within 21 days of confirming, usually within a few working days, and email you when it is done.
What is deleted
From our live systems, for good:
- Your account: name, email address, password, and any Apple or Google sign-in link.
- Everything you put in the app.
- Your notifications and notification tokens.
What stays for a while, and why
- Backups: up to 30 days, then destroyed.
- Security notes (a failed sign-in, a blocked request, with an IP address): up to 90 days.
- Purchases stay on record with the app store under its own rules.
Before you delete
- A subscription is not cancelled by deleting your account. Cancel it first in your app store account's subscription settings, or the store keeps charging you.
- Save anything you must keep for your records. Once deleted, it cannot be brought back.
- Signing out or deleting the app does not delete your account. Everything stays until you delete the account.
